George got out of the hobby about 2 years ago and SCANC bought his collection of cars. Rob (modernslots) bought George's track. We had to modify it a little to get it to fit Rob's excellent space.
Do you have a group in Florida that you race with now?
Maybe one day we'll be trading paint again on a slot car track...

Yes, we have good slot racing in this area. Knowledgeable active racers make up two groups, one runs no-mag (my preference) and one runs magnets. Some guys do both. There are three tracks running weekly races. I have my own wood track as well but it is not set up for club racing.

I was aware Rob got George's track but didn't know who got his cars. I still am in touch with The Old Jaybird, Junior and Azzaraga. It would be cool to make the trip up and race with you guys again.

Ken, historically, the Atlanta Gang has come up to race on our tracks every November, usually the weekend before Thanksgiving. SCANC used to go to Atlanta each spring, but since George sold his track they've been coming to visit us twice a year.
