Not affiliated with said slot car show, other than I'll have a table at which I'll be trying to sell my huge cache of extremely rare 3 lane, true 1/24 scale Scalextric track. Three lanes, 4" lane centers, stainless rails, moderately textured surface...this track compares favorably with anything manufactured during any era, including modern Carrera. Lot includes outer and inner curves (can make a 6 lane layout), straights, fly over bridges, and a huge banked turn...there are close to 150 track sections, about 130 running feet (straights are 10.75 inches, not the traditional foot long). Enough outer 2" shoulders (with fence slot) for all the curves and many straights, enough inner 2" shoulders for all inner curves. Lots of OEM fencing. All in fully serviceable condition from nearly new/unused to well used.
The layout in the pic represents just over half what I have for sale.
NOTE: Trying to sell at the slot car show, cash and carry, because shipping this even within the continental U.S. would be crazy expensive: at least 4, perhaps 6 large and heavy boxes when packed correctly.
This track was NOT imported into the U.S. during its 2 or 3 year run. All sold in Europe, apparently most in France. This size lot coming on the market, in Europe is nearly unheard of. For sale here in the States is truly a one-time thing. If you've any interest, come to the slot car show in White Marsh, MD this Sunday. Also selling several pieces of not quite as rare THREE lane Strombecker track, a complete Tire Razor, Trackmate hardware, Exoslot hardware, and other odds and ends.
