WTB Slotit LMP

Postby munter » Wed Nov 29, 2017 9:48 pm

Anybody got something Slotit LMP they want to offload for a reasonable price and are willing to ship to New Zealand also for a reasonable price?

I need to upgrade my class runner for our group racing as I hate my old Fly Lola.

I do not want any of the early Audis thanks.

Please let me know here or send a PM.

TIA
John

Well I posted this a while back and got a nil response (no problems with that) so I found a Slotit Audi R18 on eeebay for a bargain price.
I got it to my door for 73.00NZD.
I did the basic tuning but the car wasnt a smooth runner....lumpy rear end.

I thought I would retrue the rear tires and then noticed the runout (a huge amount) of the wheel on the tire lathe.
On examination the axle bore was oval, yep not a circle!
I replaced it from my parts bin and the car is now on a par with my fastest Slotit(Alfa 33 with yellow endbell motor)

My local hobbyshop/pusher/supplier examined the wheel and immediately replaced it for me.

I guess I was unlucky and then lucky.

So I missed this and feel bad about it, but I didn’t have a big selection.

Is your club allowing the E-Tron Quattro (4WD) models?

If so, send me your mailing and I'll ship mine. With Quick Slicks or PG.

They didnt say you couldn't.

Rules, Schmules, we are a pretty relaxed group.

We have some classes and events that have rules that are closely adhered to but mostly it is loose, not too loose though and if you transgress to far from the theme then you must expect some verbal abuse(in a good hearted way).
