There's lots of them out there. I broke mine about a year ago. I shopped and found out what I wanted was not the best, or the cheapest. Look around. You might just come back to SCC, but look around.

If you end up getting a new one, I recommend the Hudy. After fighting for about five years with a Ninco combo one I bought a Hudy puller from SCCC. It is very much like the one I had in the 60s (when steel items were well made) There is no slop in the fine thread, and it pulls straight off without the pin slipping off the shaft or bending under the stress.

I still use my Ninco for pushing pinions on, but it will get replaced sometime soon as well.

Meanwhile, I hope you find it.

Cheers,

Keith

I have to agree - the HUDY units are VERY nice! :D
My NINCO unit sees a LOT less use since I picked up the HUDY units from a local racer that was changing hobbies. :)

I agree with the other posters. The Hudy has been around for a lot longer than all the other pinion pullers for a very good reason. It is not gimmicky, made to last forever, and does the job well.

The Slot.It pinion puller works well for me; for cars that have 2.0mm motor armatures.

I've never been able to justify the expense of a puller/press on my budget, instead I pull with 2 miniature "handy bars" that I had in my toobox already and press using a modified (cheap) "c" clamp. Not pretty but they work.
