Milling plastic

Postby oz10k » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:58 pm

A while back I got a cheap cross-slide vise on Amazon, and I finally got a chance to use it. I decided I wanted to mount an Artin chassis to a Strombecker body. To do that I had to cut-off the sides of the chassis. I know milling on a drill press is not recommended, but with pretty thin plastic I wasn't too worried about it.

Here are a few in-progress pictures:

I've got a lot more work to do on the project, but I'm happy with the start:

That looks like it was a lot nicer way of going about it than using a dremel with a cut off disk or a razor saw!
Thanks for sharing! :)
