A good start for sure. The bracing may be a bit on the crude side to look at, but it's quite simple to do and VERY effective. This table has no wobble whatsoever. For sure its the best table I've ever had a hand in building. Phil, uh, I mean Bob... was a real good helper.

The fun part is next... Cutting up and routing the MDF. Or another words, time to make the dust fly.... :banana-dance:

Outstanding room and tables! Are you planning on insulating/heating the room or is that not a concern there?

Ha, Ha - Thanks for the encouragement, guys. The space is over a garage. The downstairs portion of the garage is heated with a Hot Dawg gas unit and the upstairs is heated with a Rinai gas unit. As you can see from the working attire, it wasn't cold up in that attic space yesterday and the temperature outside was 20 degrees. So, I think we'll be OK with an uninsulated space. Now when the Summer comes.............hmmm, that might be a different story, but melting tires could help with traction........... :lol: I'll have to work that out when the time comes.....

Can't wait to get it done!

Ah, you beat me to the pic, Dickie!.................. :lol:

Driving is my worst slot car skill right now, although painting/detailing and building out chassis is a close second and third ;) So, I wanted a course that would give me as much experience as I could get with different kinds of track situations in a 16'x6' platform. The corner coming off the back straight will be a semi-circle; not with the clipped ends that show in the pic (computer program limitations).

I'm ready to go! Monday is looking like a good day to me..........

Allan - that looks like it will be a fun course!
Nice mix of corner types and straight lengths!
Just curious if you are going to set it up where you can run in either direction? (I would think with the chicane - there would be significantly different characteristics to running the track clockwise verses counter-clockwise and would definitely "mix things up") :D

I think we'll set It up to run in both directions; although I'll have to modify my controller in order to do that.
