Won't work on a slot car unless you don't care about weight. The portion with the screen on it is designed to mount on the car or motorcycle. I used them for years in my 1:1 race car. The screen portion was mounted just above the driver's wheel so that I could see what kind of times I was running in practice. Mikron make a similar setup but has more features.
You would have to mount that on the slot car. I didn't look but if it has recall you could then see your times when you stopped the car but that would be the only way you would be able to use it.
