New Possum Holler Speedway..Yes again..

Postby ourwayband » Wed May 14, 2014 5:51 pm

Well I was missing the racing action of the 1/24 cars along with just the smooth surface of a wood track.
Decided it was time to rout another track. With tons of help and advice from Bibbster we started last weekend.Bibbster helped me layout the design and showed me the ways of using Luf's strip..Thanks buddy!!
The routing was done in a short time as we have done this before.Painted the boards and then ordered some tape from Jaybird..The tape arrived quick and with in a couple of days.Got to taping today and then carried the boards into the building.Wired her up and we are now racing.. :D
I wanted a two lane with plenty of spacing for 1/24 and 1/32 cars.Four feet by sixteen..Simple layout ,but very smooth and fun to run on.Each curve is different then the next ..Still tons of stiff to do,but she is a running

I like that. What's the footprint? I got an idea for another also down the road. A oval that will pull out from under the table of MRT with 1/24 spacing 4x8 sheet. Thinking of a Martinsville style.

Rusty,

So, is it true that practice makes perfect?

It sure does appear that way.

Congrats on what appears to be a super build.

Big Thanks guys!!
This seems to be the smoothest track yet.
At least the drivers aren't fussing like they did on the last one.. :)
I too am becoming fond of the simpler tracks.
