What type and brand of adhesive do you guys recommend for SCC track braid. I am new to braiding so I want to make sure its right. Thanks.

I have always used high quality rubber cement contact adhesive, but the first time I had that peel and stick stuff that SCC has in my hands, all bets were off. Nothing has ever worked as well as that stuff does. Its even consistently dimensional for a smooth recess.

Yes, just use the peel and stick from SCC.

Three of the Shoreline Model Raceways tracks were done using the tape method with excellent results. Using contact cement is much more messy and time consuming. There have been some how-tos posted on using the tape.

Another vote for SCC 3M brand sticky tape. The stuff works great and is very easy to use.

Can I use something other than mineral spirits to clean the braid before I use the tape? Thanks.

Denatured alcohol or lighter fluid (naphtha) should also work well.
