Harry, I noticed you used 1.5mil tape on this track. Do you remember if it was 7/32" or 1/4", and what thickness do you prefer ?
I had thought about using 1.5 mil figuring thicker should last longer, but all of the other build threads that I have read used 1 mil or 1.25 mil tape. Also, I might have a turn with as small as a 6" radius on the inner lane [don't know if the thicker or wider tape would have more wrinkles]. I would be running both 1/24th and 1/32nd.
What are your thoughts ? :think:

Very nice article, I would like to try this some day. I may have missed it in the article but are the track dimensions 4X12? And also is the wood routed to provide a recess for the braid? As you can tell by my questions I don't know much about wood work or tracks, but want to learn. Thank You

Yes it was a 4 x 12.

No. The routed part is the slot only. I used copper tape and not braid for this track.
