I would recommend switching to Silicone tires. You'll probably get more grip. I'm assuming your using rubber in the video.

Honestly, I don't know what they are...just grabbed an old test car out of the box. Dusty track, hard tires...no grip. :)

Every time I run my track I have to vacuum the track with a shop vac, then wipe it down with a rag and even after all that I have to clean my tires at least 6 times to get all the dust off the track. Plus it's going to take some time to get the track rubbered in.

We use urethanes, the grip is fantastic.

The fact that the garage houses the track, and my workshop, it'll be plenty dusty. The surface cleans up nicely though.

Urethane tires you say? I'll have to go shopping! Our club is just getting into home tracks. We raced on a large Carrera track at the shop before it closed. Now we run on a routed MDF track and a painted Scalextric track. This will be the first melamine surface. Lots of learning to do!

Had our first race last Friday, and it was a blast! We're a small group, normally running 5-6 people. This time, we had 9. Should have had 11, but things came up last minute. Anyway, wanted to post up to let you all know it's ALIVE!

Let me know when you're coming through and we'll see what we can do.
