Always best to just step back in that moment. I find the exact same thing - something making me crazy and then the next day - Boom! Figured it out!
Track looks great!

I've done the home buit deadstrips that uses either inline or split rails. In mine, I did the split rail. It works but you will find that have to fiddle around with it to get it working right. Even then you will likely miss a count now and then. They MIne never was 100% reliable. If you have the budget for it, Trackmate is a system that is pretty much connect and play and never misses a count.

Haven't done much in a bit. I'm hoping to get some work done this week.

Finally have been able to get some work done. Tons of headway on Friday and Saturday. All the lanes are routed. They didn't turn out perfect, but they'll end up looking fine once the tape gets laid. Main thing is that the guide flags will go through without issues. I'm hoping to get it painted and taped this week. Will likely order some parts tonight. I'd love to have some racing in a couple of weeks.

So for the dead strip, I should drill two holes about 3 inches apart and just feed the tape through the holes. Wire the dead part to the computer and the other two pieces to each other in order to complete the circuit?

Feels like I'm finally in the home stretch. Four of the six lanes are taped.

Still waiting on the power supply, but rigged it so that I could run a lane. Still have some work to do, but it was good turning some laps.

Very nice looking. The gray is also a nice shade. I also highly recommend Trackmate' it makes racing so much more fun' And when racing alone it will help you dial a car in. Indybob
