Finally!

So, all the track pieces are here and I'm ready to join the track together (braid, etc is on it's way). Whats the best way to do it and keep the pieces straight and more importantly, smooth where the joints are?

Mark - That is all good advice. I'd also use Durhams wood putty instead of Bondo. MUCH easier to work with!

Very cool, Full Trigger huh...that looks great - is it finished yet? :)

Track is joined together and the 1st coat is on and yep, thats the color (dark grey) I was after. Next up a bit more prep, some run off needs to be added and then the braids go on and then the final coat.

Thanks, Gents. I can do the final coat before I lay the braid and I do have the braid tool from SCC. Looks like it could be a weapon all by itself...

What a thankless job laying down the tape and then the braid is... Next time, I'll pony up for the braid that has the tape already on it. Anyway, this part is done. Now to to the wiring...

Looking for suggestions for a guardrail of sorts. I need it to be about 2" high so the wings on the 1/24 don't get caught on them. I looked at some solid strip plastic thats used for bathrooms but it was too thick and the stuff that was thin enough wasn't tall enough. It needs to be able to bend pretty easily too.
