Fiat 500 594cc

Man what a turtle. I had to have it to make a nice Euro micro car pair. It's a bit rough but with a little TLC.......ok, a lot of TLC, it will be a nice car to play with.

Does it have a full interior or just a pan?....

BTW... does Paul Gage have tires for those yet?

Nice color.....

That's the car that saved Italy after the war. Its right up there with Dr. Porsche's VW as the car for the common man, affordable, dependable, and durable. The best the Soviet block ever had was the Trabant, for which people waited as long as two years for theirs to be built. The comparison tells you a lot about the two great political persuasions of the 20th Century, doesn't it?

By the way, Bruce, now you need a BMW Isetta to have the set. Micromachines!

Interesting car. My Dad had a Fiat Multipla 600 back in the 50's. That was the station wagon version.

Not much has changed in appearance. The 'suicide doors are gone, but the rest is pretty much the same.

An Isseta would be sweet but now you're talking about real money. The multipla is also a cool ride but I'm sure that's going to really be tough to find.

Sweet! I've been looking at these off-and-on for about a year, but I knew I'd need another room in the house to keep it, so I didn't bother. Very nice, can't wait to see it. :)

I did't think it would have enough performance for you. Figured you'd get a really hopped-up Mini before going this route. What was the deciding factor for you?

You'd know if you've been to Italy, or Spain.
You can get three generations of your extended family in it.
. . . as well as your mother-in -law, the parish priest, and your dog.
And it's all done by magic.

Fabulous car!

Thanks all. After doing more research it's tag says it's a 1973 500 R. I know the "R" is NOT for race!! I was driving it and a blur went by. At the next light I caught up to the turtle that passed me.

Bomberto......what can I say?? You are entitled to your opinion.

Kurt,
the deciding factors were the price, it was delivered from KY for free and he was willing to go to the BMV with me incase of title issues. The price was the good thing. Again, it does need some work. Once it gets a clean bill of health, I may just leave it as is??? It's a 600 so driving it much likely won't happen. I just wanted it to go with the Mini. Then again, those who know me, know I can't leaving anything in a crappy condition. I like rat rods but i don't think i could own one.

Neat car Bruce! It looks pretty good to me, meaning it looks fairly straight, not all beat up, and it runs. Having it run is 90% of the battle. Have fun working on it. :)
