I spent the most time painting my new 71 Fleetside than I have ever done before, and I almost ruined the job at the end :pray:

I was finally happy with the job and put the truck in the slot :dance:

2nd lap I put the truck on its side, :o it slid over 6 feet, grinding the paint down to plastic on all the high spots :angry-screaming:

paint is not that important to me anymore

does anyone know the # to slot car driving school ;)

You just gave it realistic effects. :)

It must have been beautiful. That NEVER happens when a paint job is crap.

Did you clear coat the car? I use an automotive clear coat and top that off with a couple of coats of Future.

I did not clear this one, it has wide trim down the sides I painted with that chrome paint, If you clear coat over the chrome it looks
like dull aluminum, so I just waxed it


It was, and still is pretty just don't look at the passenger side

Sounds like my kind of truck! Primer is beauty!!!!! 8-)
