Jury Duty is Over

I never got seated or even made it to jury selection. Got paid enough to buy a slot car. Of course I am on my three months unemployment -- soooo the money was welcome.

I'll get paid for my jury duty whenever they decide to send it. Probably a couple more weeks. 3 days at $40 a day, plus mileage. I could buy a nice slot car for that. :)

I got paid $19 a day but only if they called me to the court house which they did 3 times.

We only get $15 if you show up and are excused. :lol:

As long as we are called to the courthouse we get $19 - even if the excuse us 5 minutes later or keepp 12 hours, it is still $19.

It's hardly worth less than $20 to get up early and be there by 7:30, but you have to show up or they will send the police to your house and pick you up. :lol:

It is called contempt of court here if you don't and that will cost you $150 on the first day.
