There certainly was a period in the late 50's and early 60's when horsepower exceeded chassis technology. The
Griffith Ford tended to do donuts when you stood on the loud pedal. Conversely, my Genie Ford, which is a
mid-engined sports racer, tends to go straight. Even when you prefer it would turn. In both cases, you need
to mind your P's and Q's when driving.
The Iso Grifo drives fairly nice, but lacks rack and pinion steering. With the V-8 up front it takes more effort
to steer than I would like. There were several race versions, and it is one of the prettier cars from a minor
car builder.
