I love that Nash!! I can remember my dad rushing home to eat pot roast and watch NASCAR when it it was Winston Cup Racing. If we couldn't watch it we would listen to it on the am radio in his Bronco. Good good times.

KnowtoruiousWon,

Thank you for sharing those great photos.

'They come from a time Stock Car racing meant racing cars that you could buy from your local dealership!

The Olds were fast cars in the early 50's as they had an overhead valve V-8. Chevy still had the 6 cylinder until 1955. I think it was a super tme for racing.

A real trip down Memory Lane.

I miss those days. There were some in there I had never seen. What a treat! Thanks.

We had a Fury and an Imperial with the push button transmissions. Those Valiants are dear to the hearts of our Aussie friends. Theirs were fast, apparently. There was a convertible Valiant on a TV show I watched in those days, and that was a beautiful car. I remember thinking how amazing the difference was- just a simple change like putting the top down made the ugly duckling into a swan. .
