18+ inches of wet heavy snow in northeastern Connecticut (over 20 inches just a little north of us...). The local weather forecasters nailed this one - last night's prediction was "1 - 4 inches"...

LOL! Ours are calling for 2-14" by tomorrow night...at least they have the bases covered...

There are three different weather models and no one has a clue. I'm going for 3 feet. That would make me happy.

If you want to see hedging of bets, try the UK Met Office.

They're currently whipping up media hysteria because parts of the UK may get 2 to 4 CENTIMETRES of snow in the next 24hrs!

If this happens, the entire country will be paralysed.

. . . and then again, it might just rain.Ho hum.

I have always found the weather office and the tv forecasters have a very similar probability
Rating compared to groundhogs.
They stand outside in the snow and say its snowing, but i think with all their technology it
Is still a guessing game.
I just hope folks get through it all ok

David (UK), I wasn't nearly as wet working in the tropics during the wet season as I was in the summer touring the UK. I was many miles south of you, though.

No snow here in good ol' southern Indiana. The only thing that got dug up was my patio to replace a sewer pipe. I could have bought a lot of slot cars with that $2200. :cry:
