Agree with all the sentiments here about independence and freedom. This is what today means to me:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Let us also remember it has and will continue to take courage and sacrifice to ensure equality for all.

I really enjoy any holiday with the family. You really get to appreciate it more when you're away out of country but at least you can have some friends to talk about it with but its just not the same.
