Living where the Civil War was fought has its benefits, like going 18 feet up a tree and using a metal detector to find musket balls, occasionally finding an old belt buckle or brass uniform buttons, all kinds of stuff. But today, I hit this with the mower. Apparently the several freezes this winter lifted it. It took hours to get it off. I'm guessing its around 30 inches long, half an inch thick, and is a drawn bolt. Want the bad news? This isn't all of it. The end is cut off, and there rest of it is out there somewhere.
