Resin body repair

Hello all :)

I was not sure just were to post this, so i wound up here.

Im just getting back into slot cars at age 54 .....so everything i knew as a kid has long ago left me. I recently discovered a good source for slot cars on Ebay and got me a 87 monte carlo ss resin body. It came in the mail today and i was trying to find a chassis that would fit. Well in the process i got a small crack pretty close to one of mounting brackets :scared-eek: of the body ( i had no idea they were so brittle ) So my question would be whats the best thing to repair it? My 1st guess would be super glue and then sand it down.
Any tips would be very much appreciated !!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention its 1:64 scale if that makes a difference.

Krazyglue is the ticket :D

A good resin body should be as strong as an injection molded one, however some casters do a better job than others and some casters use inferior resins. eBay is not always a good place to get bodies if you don't know who is making them.
Epoxy glue might be a better thing to use on that cracked body.

Thanks for the input guys :) This is my 1st resin body ever and won't be the last :) And of course as soon as i posted this i saw a forum just for resin related stuff :violence-stickwhack: ......When done painting and decal-ing i will post the finished car there.

You got your answer with CA. For gap filling you can sprinkle on some baking soda which will fast set the CA and make a good sandable filler.
