Hey John, my wife and I have read your post again and again. We have been together 46 years, and we see a heartbreaking number of our peers (like you two), who experience ultimate loss. Many times, here on HRW today, from the friends we had in other places we lived over the years, and of course, from family, we seem to repeatedly be witness to these tragic events. As always of course, our sympathies and prayers are with you. I hope she was on Hospice Care, for your sake. So many times, we have seen Hospice save the loved ones of the terribly ill from the worst of the experience, as it was indeed, a relief for us when my mother died. Our hope is for you and yours to be at peace in this time after the long fight is ended. We are veterans of the fight with cancer, and we are currently going through it again with my closest friend of 48 years, my lab partner from freshman chemistry who is beginning chemo for a belly full of stage 4 bad stuff.
