Check out autoweek.com, two of Smokey Yunick's old Indy Cars are for sale.
Just a little eye candy for ya, at least.

Now that 69 model had a set of exhaust tubes that were a real work of art. I remember listening to my little 6 transistor radio with the race on there in the early sixties and the radio announcer would say the as the cars were entering the turns would slow down to 75 mph. hard to believe how much that speed has changed since then. But I still like the looks of those racers from back then.

Honestly, guys... wasn't Indy better then? Real innovation from truly talented people. The talented folks today are buried under the tech folks who do "proof of concept" animations. I miss the cowboy hats and cigars.

I would be keen to hear that second car running at race pace.

Thanks, Mike, for posting the link so people could see what I was talking about.
You know me, digitally challenged and all that - would never have gotten that right for Harry.
Cool stuff, I definitely agree that it was better at Indy before the Spec Car series that we have now, much as I enjoy that, too. Thanks again -- Ernie :>)

Not a problem, glad to help.
I too wish it was like it wasn’t done in the ‘old’ days. That was true innovation.
