Let it snow? How is the weather out there?

Well we are burning a lot of oil here. Minus 23 at the moment and just over 2 feet of snow. Not all that unusual though. I have noticed that the weather gets worse as i get older though. Our overnights are into the minus 30s and windchill is making it colder.
I suppose life on an island in a frozen lake gives that to you lol.
The difference is its so ething we are prepared for versus those not used to this ki d of weather. So stay warm and keep the water pipes running slightly to prevent a freeze up.

We are getting a snow shower right now. Not any wind to speak of. It has been very cold the last week. The bad thing is water mains freezing around here. You can sure tell where they are at.

Not much snow here but wind chill has been 10 to 20 below zero for the past week! Not fun to be outside -- staying inside is nice and warm!! Can't wait to see the heating bill for this month!!

Yeah, we got hammered pretty good here on the south shore of Long Island. Initial forecasts were for 2-3 inches -- yeah, sure. Shoveled out 12-18 inches of the stuff last night, with the wind still blowin' hard enough to require me to wear goggles over my eyeglasses. Fortunately, my neighbor came over and hit the main sidewalks with his snow blower. Unfortunately, it busted just when we got to the double wide driveway apron, which had already been plowed in over 2 feet deep! Oh well, 3 guys with shovels and we got it done in less than an hour. I'm gettin' to OLD for this stuff! Racin' HO pancake motor Thunderjet 500 and Magna-Traction cars with the club tonight, but I'm waitin' on spring so I can start ridin' my new bicycle...

We got like no snow here in Central Pa... it's plenty cold yeah... but no more snow.

Today here in Buffalo it was a high of 4 degrees with a wind chill of -20 degrees.
Luckily at age 56, this is not my 1st. rodeo.
Just staying indoors.

Brings back memories as to why I left Northwestern Indiana the second time, The first was when I joined the Air Force and then after getting out of the Air Force I went back to to Northwestern Indiana for about four years and then that little cold snap back there where the temperature dipped down to -27F without a windchill. And it would warm up to around -5F in the day. The local tv stations gave a wind chill of -60f.

Sarge left Indiana to live away from the arctic temps, and he and I (and I think some others) searched out a spot that was nearby a good VA hospital. He went to NC, near Ft. Bragg, and it got really cold soon after he got there. We miss ya, David.

Mt. Washington set a new record at -96F today. The reputation as "worst weather in the US" is intact.

For the first time in over a week, it's above freezing. We didn't get snow in east Tennessee, but now the sleet is moving in. The kids have been out of school for Christmas break for over two weeks.... hey, what's one more day?

Our temps went up to minus 1 celcius last night and we have a big snow storm today.
I really am thankful to,the person who invented the snowblower lol.
The wearher man says we may hit plus 6 this Thursday, not good for flooding though.
