Vintage race car lettering

I've been spending the day sorting and painting my new (old) shop truck. I thoughtI would paint it in a bit of an old style not too different from some 60's / 70's NASCAR cars but without the numbers.
I would really like to have a go at signwriting using the simple one stroke lettering style so thanks to you tube there is lots of inspiration.
Here is a link that I thought some of the historic oval builders might find interesting both in the subject but also the painter's commentary as he remembers the old days lettering and racing dirt track cars.
