Thought you guys would like it.

Jonathan just sent me this pic of the car at Bonneville- his grandfather is third from the left.

Great story of a great car. I love the real deal of motoring history.

One thing I remember from an XK120 convertible at my mechanic's garage was the steering shaft which you can see in the engine bay of one of the pictures comes through the fire wall and the steering wheel attaches to that. No big deal... but the centre of that wheel with full shaft behind it points directly at the drivers chest....please avoid any head on collisions.

Dave
Thanks for the story. Looking forward to the follow up story.
I’m guessing you just ordered another Ninco Jaguar XK120 to mod and replicate this car.
Gotta love it.

Man, what a car and to be able to have that personal history attached to it, that’s the stuff dreams are made of. Very, very cool!

What a great inter-generational car to be passed on, so purposely modified and used for enjoyment. You'd never see that Jag being done up like that today!

I really liked seeing the excited youngster running after the car in one of the videos. There's hope for classic cars after we're gone.
