I am very sad to hear that Dave is so ill. I had been thinking lately that all was not quite right as we have chatted on numerous occasions over the last 6 or 7 years but lately all was quiet.

We had more in common than slot cars, simply with the British connection there was always plenty of diverse ‘England’ specific topics to yak about.

My feeling was that he did have fond memories of his service time based in England and I recall that he mentioned that during that time away from home he developed a liking for odd little foreign cars and other English oddities.

I hope you are able to read these posts Dave and I also send you my sincere Trans-Atlantic best wishes as you battle with your health and I hope you gain some supreme strength to deal with this huge challenge.

Jules

Thoughts and prayers from Buffalo, NY.

Our racing group lost a great man/father/husband/ slot friend earlier this year to cancer (age 55).

We would race EVERY Tuesday and Thursday at a local track. Then we would run into each other for practice during the other days.
After every race on Thursday we would all go to a bakery for coffee/tea/donuts and laugh about the race among other things ?
He is and will be missed.

I am and will always miss him as you do your pal.
