Rare finds!

Postby btaylor » Sun Apr 16, 2017 6:03 am

My mother in law brought me these today. Both sides of my family have been involved heavily in racing of all kinds for decades. In Fact, that is how our family's met back in the sixties. My wife's family were Close friends with Mark Donahue in the 70's, and my wife's family took him sailing a few times when he was in Florida for a race. These two F1 promo sheets where given to her just before he died. One denotes one of the sailing trips he made with them. They will be hung with honor in the Road course room. A great Driver, and a good friend.

Mark Donohue is racing royalty, a timeless legend. It's an honor for me just to have replicas of cars he drove on my track. Those items are the equivalent to having a mustard and beer stained napkin signed by the Babe himself.
