swap meet STL

Postby strangebrew » Sun Mar 26, 2017 1:44 pm

Just got back from the St Louis swap meet......Drank some coffee & talked to some forum members.....
Bought an SCX NASCAR so the next time the guys I'm visiting pull theirs out, I wont have to borrow one...
I now have exactly ONE "store bought" slot car. :banana-dance:

Which scx car did you buy? Is it an scx pro NASCAR?

I was lucky enough to win a $20 gift certificate in the attendance drawing.
Got one last November, too.
Guess I'll be banned next time.

I 'dunno. Don't know much about production stuff.
All I know is it's the 1:32, Red & White #9 Evernham/Casey Kahne Dodge Dealers Charger.
It's new in the case..Took it apart, lubed everything, trued the tires & it runs surprisingly well.

Very nice, looks like a good time, with lots of cool stuff to buy!
I just returned from the slot car show in Baltimore (April 26). 93 eight foot vendor tables filled with nothing but slot car stuff, all scales.
Had a successful day at my vendor booth, plus I came home with lots of goodies for myself, too!
I'd like to get down to St. Louis some day, to maybe attend a show and of course to visit our fearless HRW leader Harry Wise.
Glad you enjoyed the show. -- Ernie :>)
