Storm has brought a lot of strong winds with it, blowing the snow around in weird patterns. In this pic, you can tell the wind is blowing from left to right (from north to south). Note bare ground around vehicles. As of now, we're about 1/2 way through this Nor'Easter....

Spent the morning watching the morning news. You guys on the East Coast got hammered the last couple of days. I am just not sure how you can handle that kind of snow load. I guess patience is the order of the day.

I hope you guys can get yourselves dug out, and to the older gentleman, watch your ticker. The snow you shovel today will be gone soon enough so don't overdo it !!!!
Cheers

Well the snow here has finally stopped , 68 straight hours with high winds.
In the end only got about 7 inches, but it was that very fine stuff that with the wind caused terrible whiteouts. Montreal where Christian is got hit hard last night too.
Our main hwy has been closed for the 2nd day after a 50 car pile up and toxic chemical spill. In Montreal they shut down a main Hwy and had to bring in busses to keep the stranded motorists warm. I think that the East coast got the worst of this though.

The pic below is what it looked like last night around 11 just before I got the snowblower out.
As mentioned above, the wind was crazy. Some parts of the driveway had over 2', while other parts the ground was still showing (note around vehicles).
No way of really knowing just what we got as far as snowfall amount, but I'd guess about 15".
Today was much "nicer". 30 degrees and mostly sunny with just a little breeze on occasion.

Here's hoping some of that will be rain... Ernie :>)

Got my wish -- we only had about 5-7 inches of snow along with lots of freezing rain and WIND.
The roads cleared up quickly, but it's been nasty cold, so there's plenty of icing at night.
Hey, I'll take it! Heading out to Massachusetts tomorrow to vend at the RTS model car show in Taunton on Sunday.

Everyone stay safe and warm! -- Ernie :>)
