Nice photos. The '40 Ford (or Willys?) is very, very nice. Brumos, aperture (the opening in the lens) is the primary control when setting depth-of-field. But, the focal length of the lens is also important for depth-of-field settings. A long focus lens (telephoto) will give you a shallower depth-of-field than a wide angle lens, at the same aperture setting. With a lower ISO, the camera will require a larger aperture for proper exposure so that too helps to control depth-of-field. It is much harder to get a shallow depth-of-field with a camera that has a sensor smaller than a full frame 35mm camera. The instant feedback from a digital camera is invaluable. But, as Shotgun has shown, it can be done, and done well.
