Dum-Dum's for HRW

Postby SlotCarCorner » Thu Dec 27, 2012 12:48 pm

Slot Car Corner is proud to offer a one-of-a-kind "HRW Official Sponsorship Kit". The kit was specifically designed to appeal to HRW readers with a sweeth tooth and a sense of humor. In other words, this kit should cover just about everyone who frequents HRW!! The kit includes ten (10) assorted Dum-Dum's "tastefully" (bad pun...) packaged and costs just $1.00 USD. For each HRW Official Sponsorship Kit we sell, Slot Car Corner will donate the entire $1.00 to HRW to help support the cost of keeping HRW up and running. Show your support for HRW and include a kit (or 2 or 3...) in your next SCC order!!

Wow, talk about total committment to HRW!

However, there are some of us here on HRW that have issues and must control their intake of sugar in all forms.

Will you or could you just put a button on SCC website where we can choose to donate a dollar to HRW and then send it along?

I don't mind dropping a dollar into the hat each time I order from y'all. It sure does go to a better place then the dollar they ask for at the bottom of that nasty 10-40 form.

This is a great idea and wonderful of SCC to do this. I'll certainly add a few to my next order.

By they way, does SCC order Dum-Dums in 55 gallon drums or something? You guys must cruise through them!

We'll do our best to work up some sort of alternative.

If they offered them in 55 gallon drums, we'd certainly be buying them that way. Instead, we buy them by the case - each case weighs 30 pounds.

So... $1 USD plus P&H. :( Was really wanting to order some CB wheels yesterday but backed out at the postage. Why does Australia have to be so far from everywhere else?

Please shoot us a PM (or email) - we'll do our best to work out something we can both live with.

Embs, these guys are really great. I paid the postage that came up on the order form as did Robbo and they refunded the difference between the internet - logon , checkout payment thingumy (I dont know whats it's called) and the actual postage cost, which was (I might add) a substantial percentage back. They are super cool like that.

Also Rob and I reckon they've got some sort of deal with the US airforce where the parts come via F18 Hornet, it gets here that quick. I got my stuff quicker than I get it from Melbourne, no joke.

All sorted Ted. Goodies are on their way. And yes, service from most of the Australian dealers sucks at best.

Bad photo, but happy girly. And my first ever DumDum.

How is it possible to get better, faster service from O/S than I can from within Australia??

Thank you boys. There will be more orders coming your way some time in the future.

Perhaps you can talk the DumDum manufacturer into using hollow sticks like they do on ChuppaChups (oooh, maybe you don't get them over there). They make a great source for spacers and stoppers. Just perfect fit for a 3/32 axle.

There's only one. So, hopefully Australia will not be overrun by feral DumDums.

International shipping is a crap shoot. If the "sun, moon, stars & planets" are all perfectly aligned, it takes about a week to get from the U.S. to Australia. However, there are exceptions where (for no reason we can discern...) it has taken as long as 3 weeks using the same shipping carrier and class of service.

Glad to hear your package arrived quickly and safely - thank you for your business and support. Enjoy the Dum-Dum !!
