Milwaukee Blacksmith - History Channel

Postby Junior » Sat Sep 17, 2016 6:37 pm

We went up to Milwaukee for the day to see my son compete in the Milwaukee River Challenge, he was in the alumni boat for his school. Afterwards we went to lunch and then he mentioned that Milwaukee was having its Doors Open Milwaukee event this weekend. Basically the event is to showcase the City's architecture, economy and culture. One of the businesses that was open and that we went to was Milwaukee Blacksmith, as seen on tv. It was cool to see, they were actually working and selling some of their items. The only downside was it had to be 90+ degrees in the building.

I started watching Forged in Fire, which is on the History Channel just before Milwaukee Blacksmith, because I know one of the entrants. Besides doing knives and swords he is a partner in a company that does all sorts of ornemental ironwork. If you are looking for fancy custom made gates for your palatial estate or perhaps a spiral staircase you might check out Falling Hammer Productions. For kinves, swords and other fun things check out Dragon's Breath Forge.
