I have a 3-lane wooden track modeled somewhat after the Infineon Raceway. Its approximately 45 feet long and has the magnabraid installed. the longest straight is 6 ft and has the corkscrew turn that does have a tendency to throw of a car or two. I let the grandkids run the scaleys, carreras and sloits with the magnets but I like to run my old school 3d printed cars for those are a challenge to keep up with the grandkids with.

My track is not glamorous. It's Scalextric Sport arranged in an L, roughly 9x6 feet, and takes up an entire room in my attic- albeit a small room. There is enough space in there to walk in, sit in a chair, and run the cars. I do a lot of crawling when the cars de-slot because of the slant of my roof. It's home racing the only way I can fit a track in to my current home. While not a shrine to speed and competition, my little track provides entertainment and an escape, which I suppose is what keeps us all interested in slot cars in the first place.

I'm setting up a 5x16 2 lane Carrera Evolution oval on a table over the next couple weeks. My main car has no magnet, but my 8 year old likes the high speeds so I plan on leaving magnets in the majority of the cars. Going with R3 for turn entrance/exit and 4 R2's for the middle of each turn. Straights are 10 feet. Plan is to occasionally switch things up and turn half of it into a road course on occasion. The wife likes to race road courses so I don't mind setting one up sometimes, but most of the time I enjoy the simplicity of go fast turn left. Just ordered my first sets of PG tires as well. Also hello! I'm Dan, wanted to say thanks very much to everybody for all the great information shared around here. I got into the hobby about a year ago. Won't be long before I'm routing mdf and soldering brass, I hope. Not sure how many of the board are based in the pacific NW but I'm sure I'll see some of you around eventually. Haven't yet made it to any of the big commercial tracks around here myself, other than the one at the LeMay car museum. That layout woke up my slot car racing inner child, and is fully responsible for the hit my savings has taken over the last year.

I have about 33' of SCX, sitting on a 12' x 6'2" table I built for my HO. I need to trim the guides on the Slot its and Carrera's I just got to run them, but that's quick & easy. The wheels are already turning for routed tracks. I think a "dirt" oval maybe 16' x 5' ballpark, 4 lane with some interesting lane arrangements and a 3 lane landscaped roadrace circuit. lot's to do before those can happen.

4 lane digital Carrera high bank tri-oval sitting on a 26x16 table, shaped like the track at Pokono Pa. 78' total, 24' straights leading into wicked fast high banks. 16 1/2 volts running NSR, Rush inline 30K motors with 9x25 gear ratio is the hot ticket at this joint. ;)

My track sits on a 16' x 6.5' table. It is 4 lane routed mdf with copper tape with 3.5" lane spacing. Total track length is 55'. It is located in my Florida room which is attached to the mobile home I live in. Subtracting the curves at each end the main straight is approximately 12'. The slot.it orange endbell and Piranha 21.5K rpm motors with stock gearing match this track well. Higher rpm motors are very hard to control. I have experimented with other gearing combinations but I always come back to the stock gearset.

My road course is currently 92' of 2 lane Artin 1/32 track on a 8' x 16.5' table. Copper taped all around so no power taps. Pyramid PS26KX variable power. It used to be 122', but my grandsons (now 6, 4, and 2) couldn't drive it so I designed a layout that, with lowered power, will keep cars in the slot. We run 1/32 and 1/43 cars. The longest straight is about 14' along the back wall.
We also have a scale HO 1/4 mile drag strip from AutoWorld, and a 1/32 scale 1/4 mile made with copper taped Strombecker track and a 12v power supply from an old computer. That drag strip is also measured for a 1/43 1/4 mile, and 1/24 1000 foot races.

My track is a plastic 2 lane Carrera Digital.
It is about 62ft the total length and the main straight is 18 feet long.
We mainly run 1/32 cars, but do run a few 1/24 cars.
