I put a letter in the mail to Bob on Wednesday (20th) in the hope he might be getting mail even if offline. It's very good news to hear he's okay. My letter let him know the HRW family was concerned about him and was looking forward to hearing from him.

I am afraid that i am not at all convinced that everything is alright with Bob. I just think he would have posted by now; even a simple "hello, gotta go." I just wish there was some first person contact...

Bob has PM'd with me recently about the cars I sent him - typical HRW stuff about which are faster on his track and replacement tires. While things may not be back to normal, he seems to be okay.

Hey guys and girls, I never thought to check in the Bench Racer's Lounge. Sorry my non responsiveness has caused concern. Slot racing around here practically went to zero during the summer. Now that it is cooler we have had two race nights in the last month. That is, if three of us constitutes a race night. One of the three has suggested that we start a Saturday night bombers class using the Carrera 57 Chevy Bel Airs. Since I already have one and both of the others agreed to get one we will run that class. The hurricane knocked some trim off my house and caused a lot of flooding in the area but we are high on a hill and in no danger of flooding. I'm more worried about a tree or big limb getting blown into my house, or worse, my play room. The track stayed high and dry and even through the power outage, about 30 hours, we could have raced since I have a pair of 12v batteries from my old power chair that can be hooked up. I appreciate all the concern expressed by all my slot racing cohorts here at HRW. That is why this is my preferred online slot racing forum.
