Green cast resin body that I want white

Hello everyone! I think this is my first time posting in this forum, so hope I got the right place!
I am about to start a project with a resin slot car body that was cast in green. I would like to make the base coat white if possible. I remember back in my teenage years working with plastic scale models this was not possible with any kind of quality finish. I could make it a darker color with a gray primer as a second choice . But maybe things have changed and someone found a new trick ?

You'll be pleased too to find white primer out there these days.
Clean that casting well to get any mold release off it and get it ready from there...
