Can you apply the paint pen over existing painted parts? Or do you have to have bare plastic?

I've applied it over paint and had no problems at all and I can't notice any difference in the lustre on either.

Yes, they seem to work just fine. I've been touching up a lot of older work.

I applied it on freshly painted (Tamiya) mirrors, no issues

When we first heard about them, I tested them on raw plastic, painted plastic, chromed plastic, wood, and Mylar.

Flawless. I love these things.

Well, using the 2mm tip was probably too thick for trim. Plus my not so steady hands....if I do chrome again, it'll be with foil I guess. It worked great on the bumpers tho. When it dries, we'll see if the strokes turn "seamless" so you can't see where I brushed.

I used the little tip for details on dashboards on my latest projects. Oddly, the big tip is better for slim details on the body that stand out from the body in general.
