And again - a matter of taste, Dan.
Photoetched parts are highly praised as a kind of non - plus - ultra, a "must - have"...
By no means.
Photoetched parts are a bit finer, that´s all. But they are always more or less two - dimensional. Spokes ? I have never seen flat spokes on a real car. Truck mirrors so flat ? Never. Wipers 0,3 mm thick ????? Where ?
There are some places where PE parts provide a kind of upgrade, such as static models. But on slotcars ?
I am always amazed by the contradiction between poor casting/workmanship, painting and decalling, and on the other hand photoetched parts...pearls before swines. If I´m not able to build real good models, I don´t need PE parts at all.
Not my cup of tea, unless I build a slotcar in such a high scale model quality that such fine detail is necessary to enhance realism.

I can´t show the chassis because I don´t have the model. As I wrote, this was an order.
