Dave - that sounds interesting!
I think I have used a similar product on Lexan made by Parma called Fasmask - if it works as well as that did, the only limit is how steady your hand is and how sharp you exacto knife is!

Very cool two tone effect Dave!
Apparently that version is very similar to the Parma version in that if you have it on there thick, it gets a bit difficult to cut without it wanting to "pull". I found that for what I was doing, one mist coat followed by two regular coats worked well. It is more apt to tear if you aren't using a really sharp blade when it is thinner - but I found giving my blade a pass on a ceramic rod after each cut eliminated that issue and made it MUCH nicer / easier to get nice crisp lines.
I haven't used the liquid mask in a while - but it is what I used to keep my sanity and get the nice tight lines on the fender to body joints of my #7 Seagram's Racing Bug below...
It proved to be a GREAT option verses trying to tape them!!!

Remember, I am ignorant, but... Is Metalflake the name of the company or is there a metalflake I am not seeing with these old eyes? Was the body lavender when you started? Was it lavender, then mask, then red, then black, and then the mask was pulled? Help!

Oh, I got it. Oldtymer's Disease, ya know. I'll probably ask again tomorrow...

Another fine idea emerges from the encyclopedia of Shotgun Dave .

That is a real neat trick and the results looks too good.

I like the paint job you did.
I use Microscale Industries, Inc. Micro Mask.
I just paint it on, cut out the design and spray. I have to remember to go from light to dark.
Mask is easier to use than tape.
