Carrera COT repaints

Postby buspor63 » Mon Dec 17, 2012 9:47 pm

Trying my skills at paint and decals for a spring series for Carrera D132 COT's. Pattos peal and stick over white kits covered with Future/Pledge.

Whew, that took almost as long and as many mistakes as prepping two cars.....
So, class rules. STOCK. No mag and rear tire change.
I trimmed the chassis, body post cups, the motor pod and worked on the plastic wheels along time and then glued and trued 1303 Super Tires. I found some long body and motor pod screws at Ace Hardware that bottom out and allow float. Digital racing results in ...... hmmmm ...... aggresive moves. Things gotta be tight!!! ... but loose.

Hey, great job. First, kudos on the finish.

Second, thanks for reminding me about these. Yet another class we had a blast with when the first ones came out. Carrera actually did a great job modeling the offset rear.

Sounds like you know your way around this chassis too. Good luck in your series.
