Stripping paint disaster

I'm usually just looking to strip factory paint/tampo/whatever off. Sounds like the 91% alcohol is my way to go. Just for fun, here's pics of the disaster. Also kinda melted and curled up the body.

Sorry I do not use purple power, I use Super Clean and I have had plastic bodies sit in it for weeks without no harm to plastic, I have stripped resin bodies in it but they did not soak for long
I could see no damage to the resin

Five minutes in the alcohol and the paint just fell off a Carrera body. Maybe the 80's Scalextric was a different type plastic?

I use Wesley white wall cleaner,91% alcohol and acetone and never had a problem with any attacking the car body, plastic or resin.
What I do is soak for 15 minutes and take a toothbursh or cotton ball and rub the body and if the tempos and paint start to lift off I keep cleaning if not then I but the car back in the bath and let it in for 20 minuets and repeat with toothbrush or cotton ball.
I think shotgun dave would know the best solution to strip off paint and tempos. Cause he was a body and paint man for a number of years.
