Car up top...Smokey's Vette

Postby HRWJim » Wed Dec 05, 2012 9:18 pm

I started this thread in the scratch builders forum with a few WIP pics. Here's link to that post.

and here's a link to the 1:1 car

Since Harry posted the pic up top, here I thought I would share a few more pics . Lee (ListerStormGT) painted this car for me, Matt made the decals and thanks SCC for the great wheels.( SCOTY well deserved) Thanks again Lee this baby is BAD!

Wowweee! That is sharp! Something about the red wheels just puts it over the top! Nice work, boys!

Jim, that came out great with the wheels, decals and those fog lights! I'm very glad you are happy with it and that you let me help you with the paint. Harry, thanks for adding it to the top! ;)

Jim, don't feel guilty, you should be just as proud of the work you did on it too. It wouldn't have been complete without your handiwork. ;)

This car will likely be a tough customer once Jim puts his mojo-tuning on it.

But will the new Carrera Cobra have the bite to be a contender? Perhaps the Cheetah will be the one that has the speed?

Jim and I came to a conclusion that we have it about as good as it gets today. Some great cars, and finally a host of wheels, motors, tires..etc to tinker with.

Since it's Smokeys Vette I'm going to have to come up with something special. LOL. I'll do my best. Harry said it....we do have it nice, with all the parts available today we have it made and with more coming everyday. Lee, I can cut in a straight line for the decals but not paint one. Jim

Thanks Dickie, the wheels really make it pop. I'm sure Lee would agree that we would be proud to be on the SCC Wall of Fame. Jim
