it looks great. I'd like to see it painted. It's hard to really see the lines in white.

Nice, I've done some casting myself and found that the softness comes from an uncurred mold. The first cast never really seams to firm up.
If using silicon for the mold try putting the mold on a baseboard heater or if you have a low temp oven)(150 deg) for a few hours. There is something in the silcon that needs to dried before use.
