It's been a while

I started this ages ago & lost interrest.
Just got the bug to do some building again so I finished it.



I picked up a bunch of Superbird bodies off the bay.
Never cared for them much but I love the Road Runners so Hot Rod City here we come.





Both cars are sitting on Ninco chassis which works realy well for these cars & also leaves the door open for a number of different chassis set ups.

Love that Willys! Its amazing how much just a little work improves the looks of that model. Once the silly looking giant chrome wheels are replaced, you can really go to town on these rascals and do great things. The hot rod Deuces are the same way. Get the dumb wheels off, make the windshield vertical, and go crazy. It will look great.

BTW, what is that silver? It is stunning. I have more trouble with gold and silver than anything else.

Now that Harry told me what BTW is ... I didn't paint the car ... that is the colors that Carrera used.
I changed the blower scoop, slamed it & put a set of my wheels on & with the new chassis it runs like a dream.

I've done a few of them for the guys around here & they all seem to like them.
There not just driveable ... there fun to drive ... J Y D

Agreed! That Willys is a sleeper of a model! That model could make into a fun drag car! Anyone remember the blue Stone-Cook (Or was it Woods?) Willys that one of the 1/24th or 1/25th kit mfg'ers kitted back in the 60's?
