Beetle Racer

Postby dge467 » Tue Apr 02, 2013 6:52 pm

I made this for a race series we are having at my local slot car shop. You can make any body mods, but the chassis must be unmodified. I lowered the body and chopped the roof off. I made a tonneau cover out of sheet plastic. The head rest is made from the nose of a Scaley indy car that was wrecked. I made the windshield from a piece of home thermostat packaging.I painted it with Testor's AMC Sterling Silver Metallic. I already put a crack in the front fender while doing practice laps!
