New/old Mustang build. lots of pics.

I haven't posted a new build for quite awhile so here is my most recent. It started out as this.

When I got this, it was not pristeen and in the box. I received it from a fellow many years ago in a zip lock bag missing several parts. This winter I finaly got around to doing something with it. I had to make the front vallance under the bumper and the rear vallance and tail light pannal. [both made from Evergreen Styrene and epoxi] The interior was comlpeate but I had to make room for a sidewinder motor and chassis from a Scalextric Mustang. And I wanted to build the car to meet the IMAR club rules for the Tran-Am class. The chassis had to be shortend 3/32 of an inch so the wheels would line up with the fenders. Then I had to narrow the axles and wheels to get them to fit inside the body. And acording to the rules I had to use all of the original parts that came with the chassis, including tires and wheels, bushings, motor, guide, and the magnet had to be mounted in the front position and could only have 150grams of down force as measured on the magnet marshal. So anyway, here is how things worked out.

The rollbar is made from some solid core insuladed wire. The driver from an army man that underwent some sergury and epoxied back togather.

Outstanding. Seeing that soldier makeover is classic. THAT is how to get things done, work with it.

Very cool and thanks for sharing it here. You do good work.
