Removing Mongram 1/32 32 Ford decals

Postby Junior » Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:05 pm

Anyone have a tried and true method for removing these decals/stickers. I was hoping I could just peal them off but they are really stuck. Before I start experimenting I thought I would ask the question.

Obviously Superclean or another type of stripper will get them off. Looks like a molded red body, so it won't bother anything else. Sometimes WD 40 works on stickers, keep them saturated and the sticker then easily peels off.

What Monogram is that, Junior?

BTW, my wife (from Elmhurst in the 60s) wants to know if your daughter would like to swap some photos of her quilts and hers.

Wow. Yet another version of those kits. I have had the gray ones and the white ones. I like that red a lot.

Did your wife go to York? my wife asked...

Goo Gone works well on most stickers. No residue. Great on price tags and such also. Let it soak a little and rub off with your finger or rag.

I used standard 91% alcohol soak in my Camaro body with the skull on it - didn't take long and off it came. :)

Good old 91% alcohol did the trick. I tried saturating the stickers with WD40 but that didn't seem to work.
Thanks
