Advice on Norrowing a Body

I need to narrow a hard body by about 3/8 inch. Other than cutting the center out of it what do you use to cut it with ie: dremmel, a saw? Then when putting it back together what kind of glue do you find works best and do you re enforce the seam with as strip of plastic.

I havent done this but think I would start with an Exacto razor saw...using the deepest blade available.
You should then get a clean straight cut.

You say hard body...is that plastic or resin?

If you have a straight clean cut you can then remove material from the edges using a sheet of sandpaper glued to a flat surface and rubbing the edges of the cut on it.
Gluing?...I like superglue but for plastic there may be something better. Only use epoxy/Araldite as a strengthener on the inside not as an actual adhesive to rejoin the body parts.
I sometimes use hotdog sticks cut and shaped as strengthening on the insides of resin bodies, runny superglue loves those and you can construct internal struts etc easily.
