Coming soon from RMS Resins - 1970 Monte Carlo Stock Car

Postby dreinecke » Thu Sep 21, 2017 9:26 pm

Continuing our tradition of producing what RTR manufacturers will not, we present the 1970 Monte Carlo!

This kit will be designed to sit on the Carrera 1/32 1969 Charger or Torino chassis with minimal trimming of the chassis to do so. The front wheel wells are radiused as many of these that ran in Grand National events. It will include flat tray with driver and front/rear glass.

I still have some smoothing trim to add on and some additional details, but it is getting pretty close.

Oh, and just wait until you see what else is coming :D

This is just one great car to produce. I may not use the Carrera chassis, but a smart move to make it work.

Look forward to this one.

Body shape looks excellent, David.

Have you considered adapting the body posts to enable use of the Pioneer Charger chassis? They are readily available either as a bare chassis or RTR.

In addition we have a new pressed-steel style wheels just about to pop out of tooling. The tire size is standard Pioneer so plenty of aftermarket tire compound alternatives are available.

Let me know if you need a few chassis samples to test out.

One of my Favorite cars. I always thought this body style would make a great muscle car. It never got the attention it deserved, and does not show up much at 1:1 car events. IMO it should have got the same attention as the Nova, Camaro Chevelle, Mustang, Charger and Cuda.
Cheers
